LocalBiz vs B12
B12 gives you a hosted site with client tools and, on higher plans, people to help. LocalBiz writes the local pages and blog posts, and puts the code in your own GitHub.
The short answer
Choose B12 if you run a professional firm and want the website, client intake, contracts, eSignature and invoicing in one place, or want B12's experts to write and launch the site for you. Choose LocalBiz if you need a page for every service and every area you cover, a blog that keeps publishing, and rank tracking for each keyword. B12 doesn't write service or city pages.
Two things to know. B12 sites can't move to another host, so if you cancel, the site goes offline. And LocalBiz doesn't host your site: you connect your own GitHub and Vercel accounts when you start.

What B12 does well
- People can do the work. On Professional and Advanced, B12's copywriting, design and launch experts build the site with you.
- Client tools in one place. Intake forms, email marketing, contacts, contracts, eSignature, payments and invoicing on the $78 plan.
- Listings handled. Advanced adds business directory listings and monthly website updates.
- A real free plan. Build on a b12sites.com address with a few AI credits a day, then try a paid plan for $1 for 7 days.
- Fast first draft. Enter your business details and see a draft site in about a minute.
Where LocalBiz is different
- It writes the local pages. B12 drafts a general site. LocalBiz writes a page for every service and every area you serve.
- The blog keeps going. Posts are written, scheduled and published on their own. Adding them to your site is free.
- Your site is yours. The code lives in your own GitHub. B12 sites run only on B12 and go offline when you cancel.
- It tracks where you rank. Every keyword in every area, on regular Google results, in any country, on every plan.
Which one to choose
- you're an accountant, lawyer, consultant or similar firm
- you want intake, contracts and invoicing next to your site
- you'd rather pay experts to write and launch the site
- you want to start on a free plan
- you serve several areas and need a page for each
- you want a blog that keeps publishing without you
- you want to own your site's code
- you run more than one business
Pricing compared
Starter: 100 credits a month, unlimited businesses. Plans go up to $250 for 1,000 credits. Month to month.
Website plan: 100 AI credits a month, a free custom domain for the first year, and $1 for the first 7 days. Website + Client Engagement is $78 a month with 300 credits. Professional and Advanced add expert help and need a setup fee; B12 doesn't list those prices.
Note: LocalBiz sites run on your own Vercel account. Vercel's free plan is for non-commercial use, so a business site may need Vercel's paid plan.
Using both, or switching
- Keep your B12 site live while you set up LocalBiz.
- Connect your own GitHub and Vercel accounts, then build the homepage and blog.
- Let LocalBiz write your service and city pages, and add them to the site.
- Point your domain at the new site, then cancel B12. B12 has no export, so save any text, images and contacts you want first.
Questions
Can LocalBiz replace B12?
As your website, often yes. But LocalBiz has no contact form yet, no client intake, contracts or invoicing, and no experts to build the site for you. If you rely on those, B12 does more.
Which is cheaper?
B12 has a free plan, and its Website plan is $24 a month with hosting included. LocalBiz starts at $25 a month, month to month, and you host on your own Vercel account, which may need a paid plan for a business site. If you run several businesses, LocalBiz's one credit pool covers them all.
Can I move my B12 site to LocalBiz?
Not directly. B12 doesn't export sites or code, so LocalBiz writes fresh pages for the new site. If your domain is with another registrar, it stays there and you point it at the new site.
Is there a free trial?
B12 has a free plan, and paid plans cost $1 for the first 7 days. LocalBiz has no trial; plans are month to month, billed in USD by card.
Will my site show LocalBiz branding?
Yes. Every LocalBiz site has a small "Powered by LocalBiz" link in the footer, and it can't be removed.
