LocalBiz vs Local Viking
Local Viking keeps your Google Business Profile posted to and protected. LocalBiz builds the website and writes the pages that rank on it.
The short answer
Local Viking now runs under the Local Optics name: its pricing link goes to Local Optics, and the app carries the new name. The product is the same kind of tool. It schedules Google profile posts in bulk, guards your profile from unwanted edits, and tracks rankings on a Maps grid.
Choose Local Viking if you manage many Google profiles and want posts, photos and reviews handled from one screen. LocalBiz doesn't touch your Google profile. Choose LocalBiz if you need a website, service and city pages, and a blog that keeps publishing. Local Viking doesn't build any of those. Many businesses run both: Local Viking for the profile, LocalBiz for the site.

What Local Viking does well
- Posting at scale. Schedule recurring Google profile posts, post to many locations at once, or upload a spreadsheet of posts in one go.
- Guards your profile. Its Attribute Sentry protects your details from unwanted edits, and it alerts you if a location is suspended.
- A Maps grid and a rank tracker. Geo-grid scans on demand or on a schedule, plus local pack, organic and mobile positions.
- Built for agencies. White-label reports and widgets on your own domain, and a public API for geo-grid results and insights.
Where LocalBiz is different
- It makes the pages. Local Viking works on your Google profile. LocalBiz writes the service pages, city pages and posts on your website.
- Your site is yours. The code lives in your own GitHub, so you can leave with it.
- One price for every business. Credits are shared across unlimited businesses, and unused credits roll over up to twice your monthly amount.
- Posts that publish themselves. Blog posts are scheduled and go live on their own, on a LocalBiz site, WordPress or Webflow.
Which one to choose
- you post to many Google profiles every week
- you want edit protection and suspension alerts for client profiles
- Maps pack position is what you're judged on
- you send clients white-label reports
- you need a website, or a better one
- you want service and city pages written for you
- you want a blog that keeps publishing without you
Pricing compared
Starter: 100 credits a month, unlimited businesses. Plans go up to $250 for 1,000 credits. Month to month.
The cheapest monthly plan on the Local Optics pricing page, where Local Viking's pricing link now goes. The other plans are $59, $99, $149 and $200 a month. The page we checked didn't show how many locations each plan covers.
Note: LocalBiz sites run on your own Vercel account. Vercel's free plan is for non-commercial use, so a business site may need Vercel's paid plan.
Using both, or switching
- Keep Local Viking for Google profile posts and Maps tracking, if you rely on them.
- Add your business to LocalBiz and let it suggest service and city pages.
- Build your site, or publish to the WordPress or Webflow site you already have.
- Watch both: Local Viking for Maps, LocalBiz for regular Google results.
Questions

Can LocalBiz replace Local Viking?
No. LocalBiz doesn't post to your Google profile, track Maps grids or handle reviews. Keep Local Viking for that and use LocalBiz for your site and content.
Which is cheaper?
Local Viking starts at $39 a month and LocalBiz at $25 a month. They do different jobs, so the better question is which job you need done first.
Does Local Viking write blog posts?
