LocalBiz vs Semrush Local
Semrush Local looks after your Google profile and Maps rankings. LocalBiz builds the website and writes the pages that rank on it.
The short answer
Choose Semrush Local if you want your Google Business Profile kept busy for you. Its cheapest plan has an AI agent that posts, replies to reviews and adds photos, plus a Maps geo-grid. LocalBiz does none of that. Choose LocalBiz if you need a website, service and city pages, and a blog that keeps publishing. Semrush Local doesn't build any of those. Many businesses run both: Semrush Local for the profile, LocalBiz for the site.

What Semrush Local does well
- A profile that runs itself. The AI agent on the $30 plan posts to your Google profile, replies to reviews and adds photos.
- A Maps grid included. Heatmaps of where you rank, with the top 20 businesses at each point.
- Listings and reviews on Pro. Syncs to 70+ directories and sends review requests by text or email.
- One login with Semrush. Teams already using Semrush keep local work in the same account.
Where LocalBiz is different
- It makes the pages. Semrush Local works on your Google profile. LocalBiz writes the service pages, city pages and posts on your website.
- Your site is yours. The code lives in your own GitHub, so you can leave with it.
- One price for every business. Semrush Local charges per location. LocalBiz shares one credit pool across unlimited businesses, and unused credits roll over up to twice your monthly amount.
- Regular Google results. LocalBiz tracks the organic results under the map, for every keyword in every area, once a month.

Pricing compared
Starter: 100 credits a month, unlimited businesses. Plans go up to $250 for 1,000 credits. Month to month.
Local Base, per location. Local Pro is $60 per location. Businesses with 20 or more locations get a custom quote. You don't need a main Semrush plan to buy it.
Note: LocalBiz sites run on your own Vercel account. Vercel's free plan is for non-commercial use, so a business site may need Vercel's paid plan.
Using both, or switching
- Keep Semrush Local for your Google profile and Maps tracking, if you rely on them.
- Add your business to LocalBiz and let it suggest service and city pages.
- Build your site, or publish to the WordPress or Webflow site you already have.
- Watch both: Semrush Local for Maps, LocalBiz for regular Google results.
Questions
Can LocalBiz replace Semrush Local?
Only if you don't need Google profile automation, a Maps grid, listings or review tools. If you do, keep Semrush Local and use LocalBiz for your site and content.
Which is cheaper?
For one business, Semrush Local Base is $30 a month and LocalBiz starts at $25 a month. For several businesses the gap changes, because Semrush prices each location and LocalBiz doesn't.
Do I need a Semrush subscription to use Semrush Local?
No. Semrush says the local tools can be added to an existing plan or bought on their own.
Does Semrush Local write blog posts?
It writes posts for your Google Business Profile, not for your website. LocalBiz writes blog posts and publishes them to your site.
