The short answer

Choose Framer if design is what sells your business and you're happy to lay out and write your own pages. It gives you far more design freedom than LocalBiz, and it's cheaper to start. Choose LocalBiz if you need a page for every service and every area you cover, a blog that keeps publishing, and rank tracking for each keyword in each area.

Framer's SEO basics are good: its most-visited pages are pre-rendered when you publish, and it has SEO controls built in. What it doesn't have is anything made for local search. Its AI drafts a first version of a site, but service and city pages are yours to build and write.

What Framer does well

  • Real design freedom. A visual canvas where you control every section. LocalBiz has nothing like it.
  • A low price to start. Basic is $10 a month with a free custom domain.
  • Good SEO basics. Its most-visited pages are pre-rendered when you publish, and SEO controls and redirects are built in.
  • Hosting is handled. SSL, a CDN and publishing are included, with no other accounts to set up.
  • AI to get started. Give it a prompt and it drafts a first version of the site, with copy, that you then edit on the canvas.

Where LocalBiz is different

  • It writes the local pages. Framer gives you a canvas to fill. LocalBiz writes a page for every service and every area you serve.
  • The blog keeps going. Posts are written, scheduled and published on their own.
  • It tracks where you rank. Every keyword in every area, top 30 on mobile, checked monthly, in any country.
  • Your site is yours. The code lives in your own GitHub and deploys to your own Vercel.
  • One price for every business. Credits are shared across unlimited businesses.

Which one to choose

Choose Framer if…
  • your work sells on looks and you want to design every page
  • you're comfortable with a design tool, or have a designer
  • you want hosting included with no setup
  • you want the lowest starting price
Choose LocalBiz if…
  • you serve several areas and need a page for each
  • you want a blog that keeps publishing without you
  • you want to see where you rank for each keyword in each area
  • you run more than one business

Pricing compared

LocalBiz$25/mo

Starter: 100 credits a month, unlimited businesses. Plans go up to $250 for 1,000 credits. Month to month.

Framer$10/mo

Basic plan, which Framer labels for personal sites: 30 pages, 1,000 AI credits a month and a free custom domain. Pro is $30 a month for 150 pages and 3,000 AI credits, labelled for professional sites. The free plan uses a Framer domain and is meant for non-commercial use. The pricing page has a yearly toggle but doesn't show separate yearly prices.

Note: LocalBiz sites run on your own Vercel account. Vercel's free plan is for non-commercial use, so a business site may need Vercel's paid plan.

Using both, or switching

  1. Keep your Framer site live while you set up LocalBiz.
  2. Connect your own GitHub and Vercel accounts, then build the homepage and blog.
  3. Let LocalBiz write your service and city pages, and add them to the site.
  4. Point your domain at the new site when you're ready.

Questions

Is Framer good for SEO?

Its basics are good. Framer pre-renders its most-visited pages when you publish and has SEO controls built in. It doesn't write local pages or track rankings, so a page for every service and area is up to you.

Can LocalBiz replace Framer?

For a local service business that needs pages for each area, often yes. But LocalBiz has no visual design canvas and no contact form yet. If design is what sells you, Framer does more.

Which is cheaper?

Framer Basic is $10 a month with hosting included, though it's capped at 30 pages and labelled for personal sites. LocalBiz starts at $25 a month, and you host on your own Vercel account, which may need a paid plan for a business site. If you run several businesses, LocalBiz's one credit pool covers them all.

Is there a free trial?

Framer has a free plan on a Framer domain, which it says is ideal for non-commercial use. LocalBiz has no trial; plans are month to month.
